northwest tennessee
Feed a good loose mineral. Have a feeder that you can put enough in that you dont have to check it everyday and they will eat it in spurts. May eat it like crazy for a while then will slack off. Look at the ingredients and amounts. Hard to find a tub that has what you need. I dont feed salt at all. Let them get the salt from the mineral. You cant go wrong feeding mineral if it is a good mineral. If it is cheap it is like everything else you get what you pay for. For me here in tennessee a good mineral keeps me in the cattle business. Without it I would not be doing much at all. Also dont think you will see instant results from it. Feeding mineral is something that shows results over time. Longer you feed it the more results you see. Kind of like feeding an oak tree.
