nw NC | Here is a link to a site that gives weights of various species of wood used for fuel , both green weight and air dried . Although it is for fuel wood , construction lumber should weigh very near the same as dry fuel wood per cubic foot. Southern yellow pine has cubic foot weight range of 36-41 lbs.
Calculate the volume of your stack , multiply by 36 or 41 and you will get real close to the weight. If your stack was 4' wide by 2' high and 16' long there would be 128 cu. feet. At 36 lbs. /cu.ft. it would be 4,608 lbs. No wonder your tractor won't lift it .
