| I was all corn in '07. I've made 2 sales of '08 new crop beans at $8.68 and $8.58 picked up at harvest so I guess I have a different plan than I did this year. My quick calculations awhile back showed I needed 175 bu. continuous corn next year to equal the net profit on 50 bu. soybeans. I'm planning on alot of beans next year. I can grow clear hilum, which several neighbors do at equal or better yield (they are conventionals) and get 55 cents over board price. That really starts looking good. | |
