 Edson, Alberta, Canada | Well the recipe I used, as posted, calls for 1/2 pound of bacon or salt pork. The beef we have here does not have anywhere near as much salt as bacon or salt pork. So I figured I could reduce my salt intake a little bit by using beef instead. I really like the way my Beef and Beans turned out but I think my next batch will be Bacon and Beans because it's damn hard to beat the taste of bacon......lol. Regards, Dave. |
