Chebanse, IL.....

We've considered a crimper & supplies often, but have never done anything but consider. But, just a question or suggestion for those that seem to often blow hoses "after hours". Would a "generic" hose on stand-by not help you? Maybe have a couple of 2', 5', 10', & 20'x 1/2" hoses around as "stand-by replacements"? I suppose normal pipe thread fittings w/a couple of JIC adapters, couplers, etc. Keep them wrapped & taped on the end & return them to the storage when you are able to get the real hose made the next day, or day after? I realize there's still circumstances when these wouldn't work, but will you have those specialty fittings in your stock anyway?

I'm not trying to be smart, I'm just wondering if that works vs spending $4-5K & then perhaps still not have that one special fitting to keep you going another 8 hrs until the local hose shop opens?

Another question for FarmerKirk poster....why do you say Weatherhead is getting hard to find? Are they not in business?
