| I work a day or two a week in my home office. When I am here alone I keep all doors locked and one of our big dogs in the house with me. If I don't know the person at the door I go upstairs and talk to them from one of the windows up there. Probably looks silly, but I feel safer. If I am outside when someone strange comes in the yard the yard dogs will make short work of any creeps. My preferred tactic would be a gate across the driveway, but my husband isn't a fan of the idea.
You are very smart to look for ways to help your wife feel safe when she is home alone with a toddler. | |
