Subject: RE: Dryer vent = heat recovery, need moisture too

Mason City, IL
I tried using one of those diverter boxes once. Had to much moisture all at once. Water was running down windows and ruining the wood sills. Condensed on the wood paneling also. Granted my dryer was on the main floor of the house and it is an older farm house. I hated to loose the heat but the excess moisture and possible mold problems trumped it. Maybe a basement would work better but keep an eye out for mold. You will have very warm moist air in a confined area. Maybe just a "my old house" thing. LOL
