If he won't stay on an extra pillow to keep the drainage from making him cough, you could put a couple bricks on one end of the bed to raise it and have that incline. Or, he is still two, small enough to rock to sleep in your arms and have a recliner chair made into a bed then put him in that when he is sleeping soundly. Notice I am not sleeping soundly, it is 3:30 in the morning and I am on the computer... ok, back to sleep for me...
