Oregon | I sure did not appreciate it back in the day, but now I kinda miss running the Super M with a mounted picker- it was either a 2ME or a 2MH- whichever one had the white elevator. Settled in there amid the noise on a cold day- it sure beat being out in the weather unloading wagons... And with a picker mounted around you, you kinda had the chance to be up close and personal with the years corn crop. I remember not being able to see around the "super snout"...
The best part was shelling with the old timers the following year- The neighbors were all WWII vets- and they were the real deal. Sure miss being around them. I learned everything I know today that matters from those men. Really miss those farmers. Wish they new just how much I appreciate all they taught me. -Mike | |
