Subject: RE: kids and funerals?

When Dave's dad died in Aug. Our daughter brought her then 2 years and 2 month old son. He came both to the visitation and the funeral. When his "old bumpa" was alive he was a little stand offish, but usually would go and give him a hug before he left. So at the visitation he really looked at old bumpa and then he told us that old bumpa was night night. The day of the funeral he was sitting with his mom and dad and when they wheeled the coffin away, He said..."bye bye old bumpa" He remembers him still when he goes and sees old grandma he sees the chair that old bumpa would sit in and he tells us that he is still night night. I think if they see them like that is ok otherwise it is like they just disappear. My thoughts anyway.
