Subject: RE: How to do Silage Bales

Buffalo, MN

Wrap within 24 hrs, preferably within 4 hrs. Individuals are slow but it gives you an opportunity to sell bales individually and you can stack higher. Inline is much faster but once you open a line of bales you will have to keep feeding out of it to keep the spoilage down. You also can not stack inline bales. Don't use a spike or pallet bucket to move the bales. A bale grabber/squeeze is the way to go. You can use a spike bucket to put the bales on the wrapper and to move them to the bunk/tmr. Otherwise use a bale grabber/squeeze. I have two of these http://www.berlon.com/bbh.php. Here is my wrapper http://www.anderson-machineries.com/English/end_ind_carre.htm
