bwire - Don't stop at the windows cover the entire windward outside of the house and you be patting yourself on the back all winter
A house next to a place we used to farm was totally wrapped in plastic one winter. They left the doors, but covered everything else. The one big problem with doing that is mold and mildew growth inside the plastic.
