| Wife had thyroid cancer and had her thyroid removed the end of July. In Sept she took a radioactive iodine pill & 7 days latter a scan showed she was cancer free. BIL had the same procedure in early July & took the r-i pill in Aug Both wear out very easily still, but hopefully that will change when she gets her medication adjusted . If the pill hadn't did it's job she would have been looking at beam radiation.
Our thought are with you & your family member. I know it's a trying period with lots of stress & worries. We were lucky and hope the same for your family member
