Northern Illinois | if done now you are likely entering into an agreement at the widest basis point. imo any type of marketing plan is best executed at a narrow basis. put a p&p to the actual numbers and see how much market needs to move before you start to see cash appreciate in your favor. not saying it is a bad idea just that know what you are getting into.
as said above it is not a put because you are giving up ownership. it is like selling your grain and buying a call.
is there a max move corn can make in your favor?
