From working with a fuel tank manufacturer they approached Honda about using their gas powered transfer pumps for fuel, and they stated they would not warrent a honda motor in that application as they are not intrinsicly rated devices / UL listed for fuel transfer.
Just a thought to consider seal failure or other leak in close proximity to a gas motor.
