Definitely not the source of expertise you're looking for, just what works for us.
We tried the high oat feed, and on the recommendation of a large farrow to finish neighbor we even tried some corn cob, in the ration. Neither one worked.
We finally decided that we're most successful with 5-7 days of terramycin or sulmet, in the water at the very first sign of loose bowels.
