Keep in mind that 200 feet of 1/4 wire will fit in a smaller place than larger wire, shorter. I have a winch with 250 feet of 1/4. The drum is not very full. About the size of what was on the front of a deuce and half.
I am not going to do the volume calculations, but I bet it would be close to fitting in about the same spot as 100 feet of 5/16.
