NC Ohio | It is a crop sweeper. I was really happy with it. The only problem we had it was heavy and when we put it on our 1293 the 9660 had a hard time lifting the head. We had our JD dealer come out and hook up gauges to our hyd pump and shimmed it some to get more pressure. It still is a heavy reel but works good. It has fore and aft and up and down and can adjust reel speed. That way you can adjust it right were it feeds the best. We had over 800 acres of down corn some of it was not quite as bad as others but the reel payed for itself the first day. We also put the headsight foresight on the head and was very happy with the way it kept the snouts right on the ground. We left it on the head for this year but will take it off if we make it to harvest without any storms. If it wasnt so heavy on a 12 row we would probably leave it on and just run it all the way up and not worry about it. | |
