It piles up when you dump it from the semi trailer and maybe runs a little but not too much. Around here 2 companys send bids to Chicago and surrounding suburbs for removal of it. That's how they make their money, from the municipalities, and the farmers get the product for free. Each batch of loads gets tested and that tells them what rate to spread it. They also are required to do soil tests to make sure the pH of the soil is at the right level and that nutrient levels are not getting too high. One company has Knight side slinger manure spreaders and the other has floaters with manure spreader boxes that spread it out the back. They both chisel it in. | |
