US EPA lists infectious prions as contaminants of concern in both Class A and Class B sewage sludge "biosolids".

Nobel Laureate Stanley Prusiner, UCSF, and other scientists believe Alzheimer's and Parkinson's diseases (over 6.4 million victims in US) are prion diseases (like Mad Cow Disease - BSE, Chronic Wasting Disease, Scrapie, Creutzfeldt Jakob Disease, etc.)

Human and animal prion victims shed prions in their urine and feces. Human prions end up in sewers where the wastewater treatment process reconcentrates them in the sludge "biosolids". Animal prions also end up in public sewers from abattoirs, rendering facilities, animal labs, taxidermy shops, etc.

The US EPA and waste industry promote spreading these infectious wastes on grazing lands, hay fields and dairy pastures where deer and livestock ingest them with the soil. They also recommend spreading Class A sludge biosolids on home lawns, flower and vegetable gardens, exposing family pets and dirt-eating children to this dangerous "soil amendment".

Sewage biosolids is a witch's brew of virulent, antibiotic resistant pathogens, and toxic industrial chemicals. In 2002, the National Research Council stated:
" "From a risk assessment perspective, this report will clearly establish that biosolids are a complex mixture of chemical and biological agents, the exact composition of which can change from time to time and place to place."
And they didn't even know about the infectious prions in public sewers and sludge back then.
