Whiskey, Tango, Foxtrot | I just never know, and that can be a real pain sometimes. Hay season here means at times you can sleep in and be lazy, and other times you might be up most of the night and sleep whenever (or if ever) you can.
Most of the time I have a hay truck to load by 6 am. Sometimes when busy we crowd that to 5 am or even 4 am. I always get up at least an hour before that to have time to down a pot of coffee and make sure everything is ready to go. Also like to check sprinklers and stuff on the way if I can. Getting an early start means I can usually be done by mid morning to do other stuff until trucks afternoon and evening. Somedays I'm loading truck and or barning hay from before dawn till late night. The late nights don't go to well with early mornings, esp. when baling hay in the middle of the night. Pretty eratic and times, but such is life. In between cuttings right now so things are pretty laid back and I'm getting some quality time with mama and our new little one :) | |
