There are no Apple or Microsoft authorized sources. There is no doubt they are "closed". Which leads right back to this post I made earlier about the difference between Android/iOS open/closed being nothing more than a legal issue. Still, there is no doubting that the SAME things can be done with either platform if one has the skill & the williingness to accept the risks - making the "Android is open" argument moot and nothing more than a false argument favoring Android over iOS.
