Subject: The wall is a very moving experience

Crawford County, Robinson, Illinois

We visited DC around 2002, took tour busses, then we knew where we wanted to spend more time.

Stopped at the wall, no big thing, just a big marble tablet, I first thought.  Then I started walking the length, looking at names.  A neighbor's name jumped out at me, gave me chills down my back.  I didn't know the neighbor, only knew he was one of the first killed in Viet Nam.  The chill lasted the length of the wall, and still comes back to haunt me.  So many names of people that were lost in that conflict, and we still wonder what was accomplished.

Everybody needs to see this elegant rememberance, and offer prayers for those who gave their lives in the conflict.
