One it's been an extended period of heat, two the overnight temps have been too hot, like in the 80's and the corn just can not handle it very well. So the heat has been more of a problem at night more than daytime. Also no rain which always hurts but even in areas with a little more rain the bushels still are well below normal.

On the DK side the traited corn has been behind the non the last 2 years but insect pressure has been very low. This goes for other companies also. I have even seen DK plots where the refuge number wins and on there website they enter the traited version of that number as the winner. So that should tell ya all you need to know about what they are pushing....not yield it's traits!
