SE Nebraska, Near Misery and Cans Ass!
I was lucky. The predraft physical saved my life. After corrective surgery I didn't have to go. It seems that WWII didn't take as much out of a man as Vietnam did. I don't know anyone that served there that isn't carrying some serious baggage. Don't forget the Korea boys either. Don't hear much about them. I have a son that played in the sandbox. Back home safe but You can't see the scars. Mankind has always had killing but I pray for the day it will all end.
