Subject: Re: Interesting Veterans Statistics off the Vietnam Memorial Wall

Hastings, Florida
My lottery draft number was # 1 for the year. Only time in my life I was first in anything. The lottery draft was based on your birthday, and mine was the first one randomly chosen by the Selective Service for those of us born in 1952.
I was drafted, but was rejected due to heart condition.
As I get older, my respect for all service personnel grows. When I see some younger person killed or injured, it really upsets me anymore. They seem like just kids, but are really much bigger men, or women than most of us.
