I went to college there back in '98-00 and had/have friends from all over that area and other than Gulfport I wouldn't hesitate to live anywhere in the area.

One thing I will say is that back in '08 the Mississippi flooded there and was over 8 miles wide for a while so east or north of Burlington be aware that alot of houses were under deep water for a long time.
