Interesting stuff Dave. There is no doubt that Jobs lifted ideas from Xerox, but the claim is typically that they STOLE the IP from them - and that is not the case. Xerox got stock in Apple in exchange for the IP but Jobs took it far further than Xerox had thought they would - probably due to the lack of vision on Xerox's part that you described.
