![](/profile/get-photo.asp?memberid=14162&type=profile&rnd=506) West Kentucky | We are somewhere around 60% done with corn. The early corn averaged between 180-185 dry bpa with all test weights being about 1-1.5# off of normal. Average moisture has been around 22%. Field averages have been between 169-191 dry bpa. All of these fields were planted between April 6-9. The next 100 acres were all planted on May 10th on ground similar to what was running around 175 bpa on early corn. The late average is between 95-100 dry bpa with moisture similar to early corn. The field averages have been between 57-121 on the May 10th corn. We have shelled the best, and I think the worst so the rest hopefully will shake out somewhere in the middle. All of the late corn pollinated fine, it just aborted a lot of kernals on both the ends and bottom sides of the ears. So, if someone is out looking, there is quite a lot of corn shelled which is pretty common for around here this time of year.
