Just for the record, iOS keeps iPhones and iPads backed up as a standard, out of the box feature.
Just for the record, Android allow you to back up basic info out of the box too. Contacts, calendars, apps installed/purchased, etc. Backups available through rooting lets you restore your phone exactly as it was when you backed it up. (After you've customized it with Widgets and settings.)

BTW, you argued with me at length awhile ago that your custom features were on a stock device. Now you are admitting that it has been rooted and was comparing it to a stock iPhone. I could probably make my iPhone do anything short of wiping my behind if I decided to jailbreak it. ;)
BTW, I never claimed that my phone was not rooted. My custom features ARE available for a stock device. I am running the latest STOCK version of Android, no ROMs. It just happens to be rooted.
