I just switched from a USB aircard to running my laptop off of my replacement Blackberry ("tethering" I think its called) phone. The tethering works amazingly well for what I do - better than the aircard. Exchanged the Ipad for a Motorola which is a bit thicker and heavier but does run flash and seems to do what I want to do. I will try this in the truck mostly. fwiw.
