Kentland Indiana
One thing to be careful of: The University of Illinois has been doing testing for Goss' Wilt this year and has had numerous positive results. However, the testing agent that they are using does not decipher between a couple different types of bacteria that are typically present in most soils, and Goss' wilt. I am not saying that there is not some Goss' out there, but that I think it is being over exaggerated a bit. I have seen it for many years in Nebraska before moving over here. Most of the calls I have gotten have not been Goss' wilt. They have been a combination of heat stress, moisture stress, and nutirent stress.
