Subject: anyone rooting their droid?

Heil Harvesting, Ulysses KS/Limon CO

I am on Verizon and considering going the rooting process do Wi-Fi. Anyone done it? Any advice? What program did you use? Did you tether to your your computer with a cord or do it all from your phone? besides warranty issues any drawbacks? I checked and it does not void my insurance.

I can get WiFi through Verizon but it seems prices for 2 gigs a month.
