The 315 replaced the 303 in 1968, we never had one but I never heard too many good things about them. IH reverted back to the 03 design in 1971 by replacing the 315 with the 615.


Your not right the 315 replaced the 205 we bought a new one in 1972 to cut wet ground with its was a light machine and would run on wetter fields than our JD 105. Had a 10' head on it and it would run right along with it, we keep it 3 years and I don't remember one down day with the combine. we just cut beans with it we didn't have a corn head for it. I still like the saddle tanks on it. could load one or the other or both. Ours had the 3 speed transmission and variable speed on it. and for the time a good auto header control.
