NE SD | We had two west fields. One for wet corn to the dryer and a 1070 swing. Both new 2 years ago. The 8 41 gearbox came from fargos westfied assembly plant and the gearbox was out. We didn't even put a motor on it! 1070 ran rougj and loud empty. Broke the chain, slid sprockets, all upper wheels went flat. Neighbors had 1370s that ran loud and hot. One guy almost burned his hand! Needless to say we don't have any westfields and switched to brandts. The dealer that sold the brandt also sells west fields and had one auger tore apart at the factory three times. Fighting was warped or something. Good luck | |
