I too struggle to work around 'helpful' programs that want to do things for me; I prefer very very much dealing with folders & files myself, so I actually know where things are and can find them. The 'helpful' programs tend to just leave me shaking my head, feeling handcuffed.
I understand non-computer people want results and don't want to learn 'computer', but they are missing so much in my opinion. ;) Can't get much simpler than working with files and folders, as that's what the computer works with. They just flow naturally for me.....
I do understand, there are many many people out there that have no clue and want something to just happen all by itself, and the new software is trying to cater to them. I understand your point.
