Subject: tillage radish planted with wheat

eastern Kansas
talked to a salesman today who was recommending planting about 2 lbs of tillage radishes with your wheat. I had never heard of this before. anyone tried it? he was saying the move the nutrient to the top and then winter kill. seeing 5-12 bushel advantage. find that hard to believe about any one practice. just curious i guess.
