| Much of this is made on mobile devices. Inevitably, someone will make a post about how they are "ripping us off" - while their competitors are selling their high-end phones and tablets at the exact same price. ;)
Actually, I was shocked when the iPad was released and the 16 GB wifi model was only $500. Most of the speculation leading up to the release put it at $700 - $900 and I figured that's what they would cost - especially since the iPhone sells for $500 - $600 without contract and the large iPad screen is considerably more expensive. Apple strayed from its regular business model and attacked this market extremely aggressively.
As for your second link - just another example of Uncle Sugar spending tax payer's money in ridiculous ways. And I would have that opinion whether this was for an iPad or any other device. | |
