Thsoe are nice pics and how old do they estimate the cedar tree to be? That is amazing that it has made it this long.
They estimate it to be over 3000 years old. It is 180 ft high and grows next to a massive decaying log that must have been similar in size to it back long ago before it fell over. The amazing thing is the area it sits in is solid cedar trees, many in excess of 8ft in diameter so it is one gigantic tree in the middle of huge trees. |
