The good security and correct configuration eliminates threats and the crawl

Really? One year, I had the paid version of Norton Antivirus plus their Firewall Security. I even had to pay for a tech support call to them to configure correctly. Within a year my computer got so slow that a reinstall of Windows XP was needed. Norton subscriptions, plus the pc doctor fees ten months later totaled approx $250. Macs would have been much cheaper for me. On top of that, add the cost of downtime, for the day and a half I lost because the computer wouldn't print out my cash flow when I needed it for my lender. Add another $400 for that one, for I had to turn down overtime work at my other job because of it. Then, add on the cost of purchasing s second computer as a back up. Yes, PC's much more expensive than Macs! Probably double.

No, no porn sites visited with the computer. However, kids games sites, yes. Moshi Monster, PBS Kids, Nick JR, etc. Plus installed some purchased games like, SIM Zookeeeper, Sim City. Each time a game was installed, the computer slowed a little. Had plenty of processor and memory.

Now, the two PC's we have left are off limits for the games. They have to use the wife's MacBook for those. Otherwise, we now have a Nintendo Wii, and a DSI to take care of most of the gaming needs. MacBook hasn't slowed a bit since purchased a year ago. Oh, and the MacBook we purchased was used when we purchased it. Checked MacBook sales on ebay, and our MacBook version is still bringing as much as what we paid.
