Panhandle of Ne.
Jeremy, we have had some showers, just today, on most of ours. Just east of us, by doppler estimates, a lot of rain today. We really don't need any. But the areas I mentioned seem to be gettin the lion's share the last couple of weeks, finally.

Haven't takled to Kirby lately, but talked to a couple friends down there the last 2 days. They told me a lot of corn getting chopped for silage, only making 2-10 ton, and the cotton is anywhere from zeroed out on the worst water to 30-50% off on the better water. Most of the corn being chopped is on the better land and better water.

One of the guys also told me he heard an interview with a local meteorologist and was asked if this had ever happened before and he said yes. A similar situation started in the early 50's and was the beginning of a 10 year drought. Mom and dad started farming in the early 50's, but they had a world of water back then, and made some good crops.
