That being living with it's "pack". In every pack, there is an alpha and omega and all in between.

To date, no one in it's pack has taken the alpha position, so bu default, it assumed it.

Can it be reversed??? Yes it can, but it can't be done with sugar or honey, has to be vinegar or something a bit stronger.

There are a few tho that will refuse to give up that status, then it's time for a replacement for the safety of all they younger ones involved.
