Most beans were planted the 1st week of june but never grew till july. They got out of the ground and then layed in water for about 3 weeks. Have some corn on some black gumbo that would have bet on 200+ 2-3 weeks ago. Ground is cracked enough to swallow the kids now and fired to the ear. Really don't think it will break 125. Field had 40 units of extra nitrogen and fungicide, was just a waste at this point. Anyone around here still talking about 200 bushel corn needs to get out of there truck ,break a sweat and get in the field because it just isn't there.
Yeah I think a lot of people would be in for a rude awakening if they went out and walked their fields....... |
