Hastings, Florida | I was wondering why all the empty seats, blamed it on economy more than anything else. I am beginning to think NASCAR might be in trouble.
I live about 45 minutes from Daytona,where stock car racing is the biggest game in town, and all the local news sources say money is getting tight with NASCAR, and they are searching for an answer.
Fan attendance spiked several ago, when watching races became the "IN" thing to do .However, many of the newer fans had a short interest span. Seat prices escalated, races got boring, TV coverage improved,and only the truly devoted followers showed a continuing interest.
Just like the rest of the world, NASCAR must adapt to a changing world..
