| Dale - don't forget that 10% added to the buyer's bid price is actually less than 10% of the buyer's total contract price. Also, don't forget that, per lots of other posts I've made on NAT, Purple Wave negotiates its rates in all circumstances and it's very likely in the comparison bushton4 first pointed out that the Nebraska JD dealer who sold with us netted more in his pocket than the Nebraska JD dealer who sold with Big Iron.
No way to tell unless Dennis or Greenforever (who I think is also a Big Iron rep) confirms for all of us what their customer paid, and them disclosing a specific customer's commission rate is highly unprofessional, especially on a public discussion board.
The broader point is that what the seller nets for the auction firm's effort and expertise and service is a matter between the seller and the auctioneer. What the buyer pays is what the buyer cares about.
Dennis certainly is foolish for calling another auction firm greedy, especially if the facts would show that the other firm actually delivered more for less commission. Jerrod at Purple Wave Auction |
