I'm not sure that I've been able to tell a whole lot of difference in the way the strip looks as regards to speed. I've been pulling an 8 row 1tripR with an MX255 chipped and I'm lucky if I can see 6 mph in my tight dirt. I do pull an air cart for dry and also an Anhydrous tank to apply NH3 which I'm sure takes a fair amount of power. There is so much going on with that operation that I personally don't think I would want to combine planting with the strip till, however if you left the fertilizer off, would simplify things.
