NW Barton County Missouri
We were looking okay after the rain we got around the 4th of july. Some of the april planted corn doest look too bad, but the may corn is a disaster. A few guys have been choppin theirs into sileage the last few days. Some of mine looks not too bad considering all the heat, but if it makes 60 bu plus i would be suprise, a lot of it will be a lot less then that. A few people did get some rain around here the last few days, I had about 4 tenths, heard of some guys getting over an inch. A little late for the corn, but will help the beans out. Few more weeks and the beans will be lost at my farm if the weather doesnt change. Went from a swampy spring to hot and dry around june 1st. Im ready for a new year...
