West Texas

Guess you can count me as a townie that moved to the country. Preparing to retire from working for a living, I bought a quarter just to have something to do during retirement. Been here for 15 years now and I'm still the man that bought the Clark place. Don't know if I'll ever get my own identity as all my kids were grown when I moved here.  Starting to think that I bit off more than I can chew and moving back to town doesn't sound as bad as it once did. Oh well, gotta go feed the calves and give the dogs a fresh pan of water. Seems like the honey bees are having a hard time finding water and they literally swarm over any water within 15 minutes after you put it out.. Never saw that before. Sure is dry. 47 days of consecutive 100* days and less than 1 1/2 " since last Sept.
