I rented 15,000 bu worth of storage in three bins, one of which is a dryer bin at $.10 a bushel paid back in May. I contracted corn to a nearby ethanol plant for next spring delivery but stopped at 4,000 bu as that is all I can safely gamble that I will get out of my 41 acres planted.

I won't have enough corn or beans to fill these bins, should I just sublet the bins, if my landlord allows me, contract the corn to town for harvest delivery and buy from the elevator next spring to fill the contract at the ethanol plant?

I think I'd still do decent as most people are thinking prices should be coming down after harvest, therefore the corn I'd buy from the elevator should be significantly lower than what I will get for filling my ethanol plant contracts. I can still fetch a good price contracting for harvest delivery too.
