Subject: Re: turning up 4430 for tractor pull

Northeast Louisiana
We have a 4430 still going, once in shop back in early 90's. I had John Deere to put it on dyno, it pulled smooth 200, they turned it down some, Still running now. The thing is, the pump has never been turned up. Still had factory seal on it when on dyno and had tractor since brand new. Engine has been overhauled once and has around 15,000 plus hours on it now. Go figure.

Plus... will it pull like a 4960 or 8330? Heck no. But it will walk with its own weight.
